This week in Cedar we finally found out what happened at the end of 'Stig of the Dump.' The children have really enjoyed this story and have hopefully felt a sense of achievement in finishing a chapter book. This story has linked well with our History learning and this week we completed our pre-history timeline by finding out about the changes in Britain during the Iron Age. The children have engaged really well with this topic - they have remembered lots of facts and have asked lots of interesting questions.
In Science, we have been learning about our different teeth, the different layers of our teeth and how to look after them. The children were horrified to learn about germs on their teeth and the build up of plaque so rest assured that they will all be keen to brush their teeth twice a day with no arguments!
Don't forget the 2nd market day for the Year 6 Grow a Fiver project - this will take place on Wednesday after school in the school hall.
Have a great weekend and we will see you on Monday.
Mrs Ward and Miss Maher.
