Hi all,
We have had another super week in Cedar class and even though it has been a shorter week, we have managed to get in lots of exciting learning. In English we have been publishing our diaries from the viewpoint of Om, the girl in 'Stone Age Boy,' and in reading we have continued to read 'Stig of the Dump.' This week we were looking for examples of similies and found lots of great examples as we read chapter 3
In maths Year 3 have been completing some work on statistics and Year 4 have been continuing to work with decimals. One of our highlights of the week was on Thursday when we took part in the VE day celebrations with the rest of school - hopefully you have seen the pictures and the video that Mrs. Amos posted yesterday. The children were amazing, their singing was beautiful and they all seemed to enjoy their VE day lunch.
Another highlight of the week in Cedar was our Art lesson with Miss Maher on Wednesday afternoon. The children were very excited to see the arrival of some clay in the morning and had a great time in the afternoon creating peppers from clay as part of their unit on fruit and vegetables.
Have a fabulous weekend and we will see you all next week!
